Let us give no countenance, for instance, to any use of baptism such as would allow children, who are not in immediate danger of death, to be baptized when there is no fair prospect of their being brought up to understand the meaning of their Cliristian vocation — a practice, I believe, utterly contrary to fundamental Christian principles.
