To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

They have abundance of light from very large windows and ample area of sky- lights, the latter covering about 25 per cent, of the roof. In the construction of the buildings great attention was paid to making them as fire-resisting as possible without incurring excessive expense. The roof construction fel- lows the rules of mill construction closely, the planks being three inches thick everywhere, resting on heavy beams eight to ten feet apart, these latter being in turn supported on steel truss...es or heavy timber trusses or rafters. All walls are of brick and fire walls and curtains are put in everywhere where they do not interfere with the uses to which the buildings are to be put. For the extinguishing of fires all buildings are equipped with a wet system of sprinkler heads, besides numerovis stand pipes equipped with hose. Besides this about five miles of eight, ten and twelve inch fire mains were laid com- pletely encircling the buildings, with three way hydrants, placed about 200 ft.
