Imo gen s heart beat wildly now ; she reached her little fingers through the irons, and screamed so loudly that it seemed a miracle he did not hear ; but he was only looking at the architectural mouldings, calculating the heighth and breadth of the cornice, and he could not see the pale, agonized face pressed frantically against the irons.
