Melville House, ^- Major Thtmas Melville lived in an old wooden house on the south side of Green Street, between Stani- ford Street and Bowdoin Square. He was a patriot and orte of the Tea Party. It was a wooden house of two stories. Taken down after 1798.

An old house occupied by Benjamin West in 1798. Of wood, two stories. Standing 1899.
