. So that if man would be unvariable, He muft be God, or like a rock or tree j Tor e'en the perfect angels were not ftabie, But had a fall more defperate than we.
Then let us praife that pow'r, which makes us be - Men a* we are, and reft contented fo j And knowing man's fall was curiolity, Admire God's counfels, which we cannot know.
