In 1864 the Assembly (T»J". S. ) reiterates the sentiments and recommen- dations of former Assemblies, and calls upon its ministers and the mem- bers of its churches to renew their eff'orts in this direction, and espe- cially to refrain from the use of cider, beer and ale as a beverage, and also from the manufacture and similar use of domestic wines.
