The statute expressly requires this: — "Where any per- son or persons stand or be seised or at any time hereafter OF USES AND TRUSTS. 367 shall happen to be seised, of and in any honours, &:c. To the use, confidence, or tr
...ust of any other person or per- sons. " All persons, who were capable of being seised to uses before the statute may still be seised to a use. Aliens and corporations are excluded. If an alien be enfeoffed to uses, the statute executes the use until ofiice found ; but, upon office being found, the use is destroyed by relation. A corporation cannot stand seised to a use, because a subpcena from Chancery could not be issued against it to compel the performance of the trust, a reason which has now ceased to operate.
