If hemorrhoids or fissures of the mucous mem- brane are present, as they quite frequently are, they must be cured in order to obtain a permanent cure of the eczema. The bowels must be kept easy by laxatives, so that one soft movement may be had each day. Liver derangements must be corrected to prevent portal conges- tion, and dieting will be of service.
