His Eminence the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation of Propa- ganda, in the name of their Eminences of that Sacred Council in a letter of the 12th of February of the present year, directed to the most Illustrious and Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Liverpool, was pleased to lay before this Synod certain doubts as to the yearly payment of the Cathedraticum to the Bishop, which had found expression in his diocese.
