Mo...ses was a builder, but Christ is a greater builder. Though applied in depreciation, it was not without significance that he was spoken of as the carpenter (Gr. Tekton, joiner, con- structor). In the context immediately following the verse in which Jesus is called Apostle occurs this comparison between the building which Moses did and that which Christ is doing : " For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God. And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken; but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glory- ing of our hope firm unto the end.
