— Objects: To promote the artistic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profes- sion, and the means of accomplishing this end shall be : The reading of essays ; lec- tures upon topics of general interest ; competitions in architectural design ; exhibitions of members' work ; formation of a l...ibrary ; formation of a collection of drawings, pho- tographs, and casts ; establishment of a travelling studentship ; and any other means calculated to promote the object of the association. — Members : Active, engaged in Architectural work ; present number, 30 ; initiation fee, $5, and dues $1 per month ; fin- able for non-attendance. Honorary members may also be elected. — Many of the sketches by members have appeared in the "American Architect, " principally designs for the regular problems which are set by the Committee on Current Work.
