The Swedish explorers had, in their turn, named one of its mountains, seen by them, " Swedish Headland, " so that 180 TEE EUROPEAN ISLANDS OF THE ARCTIC OCEAN. National rivalries, combined with the confused reports of navigators, have rendered the charts very uncertain.
