57 Nor have we thought it necessary in our book, intended for foreigners, to enter into the question of etymology.
Words of the same etymology are generally pro- nounced in the same way, and the derivatives of a word like that word.
For example, " cadre," " encadrer," " encadrement," have all an A sombre ; it is the same with " clameur," " acclamer," " proclamer," " declamer." But this rule is far from being without exceptions. Therefore, that the pupil may not be confused, we give but one word of each kind.
