A month ago we asked the Government to make up its mind ; it has hesitated far too long, and the public peace has suffered. Paris, in the midst of these serious questions, is exactly as you left it. No one would imagine that we are in a stage of siege, if from time to time the most monstrous measures — transportations without trial, news- papers suspended, &c.
