La Prarie with its large church on the diltant fide of the river, is feen to the greatefl; advantage, and beyond it is a range of lofty mountains which -terminates the proipeft. Such an endlefs variety and fuch a grandeur is there in the view from this part of the mountain, that even thofe who are moft habituated to the view always find it a frefli fubjedl of ad- miration whenever they contemplate it; and on this part of the mountain it is that the club which I mentioned generally affembles.
