And in all cases he operates as soon as suffo- cation threatens, and it is evident that medicinal measures are not likely to afford relief. After the canula is in position, DR. HADDEN also considers it a very essential part of the treatment, to make ap- plications through the tube, by means of a soft feather, of the above solution of iron and glycerine, to the inner surface of the trachea. This he repeats as frequently as every two or three hours during the TRUE CROUP.
