It arrested Percy's attention, and, incidentally, he marvelled that this filmy, wreathing thing, exquisite in changing form and colour, should be called by a i82 WINIFRED MOUNT common name with the soot-laden outpouring of the chimneys that had driven him from his early home to White Acton.
