(See Canterburies Doome, by William Prynne, p. 115. ) I would only add, that, in referring to Angelus De Clavasio, I find that he supports the conjecture which I have hazarded (pp. 43, 50) with regard to Churches, when polluted by the commis- sion therein of murder, fornication, &c. , requiring reconciliation and not reconsecration. Under the title of ' Consecratio Ecclesice' he tells us " in quibus casibus Ecclesia polluitur, et indiget Reconciliatione, " and proceeds to enumerate them, " Primum, quia in ed effunditur sanguis, " &c.
