Freud, Jung and other psycho-analysts mainta...in that if these im- pulses are repressed they may cease to exist to conscious- ness, but they remain in the realm of the unconscious, surreptitiously influencing thought and conduct and only revealing themselves directly in the dream-life of the in- dividual. It is true that whereas Freud is satisfied with a mechanistic interpretation of human personality, Jung definitely accepts the Bergsonian position. But, in general, I the work of psycho-analysts has served to show that what- ever else the mind of man is, it is not a mere fabrication of ideas.
