The importance of these Treaties is so great that they must be discussed amply. They are important for several reasons.
In the first place, the Treaty of April 15th appears to be the only Treaty of guarantee in which the words "jointly and severally" (soli- dairemenf) occur. In the second place, the Treaty of March 30th and the Treaty of April 15th guarantee the same settlement in varying words.
