If we deny suffrage to women it is because we are superior in strength to women and deny their intellectual and moral fitness and right to that copartnership which should ob- tain between men and women in the conduct of the country's affairs.
So the very issue involved in this war is involved in the con- flict between the forces opposed to suffrage and in favor of suffrage. We are asserting that men have a superior right be- cause they have greater strength than woman, a condition that prevails in primitive society.
