Wide stretches of fields and long, sloping meadows.
With cottages nestling on neighboring hills.
The bright, laughing waters, the lights and the shadows.
In grand brilliant picture that enraptures and thrills.
Now faint in the distance, yet still louder growing, I hear the glad notes of the farmer boy's song.
