Sphaerodactylus elegans Ashy Gecko Introduced from Cuba, this smallish lizard, up to 3 inches (7.5 cm) long, is yellowish tan and spotted or reticulated with dark brown spots or blotches that run together on the head. The young are slate gray to greenish brown with wide brown bands across the head and back; the tail is blood red, as are the front legs.
This species is very common where found. Colonies have been reported from Key West and Boca Chica Key.
