In September, 1906, he was elected by the Supreme Council of the northern jurisdiction of the Scottish rite to receive the honorary thirty- third and last degree confer...red in Masonry. A distinguished scion of his race, using his talents for the benefit of his fellowmen, he stands today as a valued citizen- of Eochester and of the state and as one of the most able ministers of the Bap- tist ministrv.
JOSIAH K. LINCOLN.
Josiah Iv. Lincoln was born on the place which is his present home September 11, 1865, a son of Andrew W. Lincoln, who came from Cape Cod to Monroe county in 1816, and in 1820 settled in Perinton township and eventually became owner of five hundred acres of land, the town of Despatch now standing on what originally formed a part of his farm.
