After lu...nch Dicks and I again make pilgrimage to St. Nicholas, but this time we go by a different route, past the Cathedral, whose walls only are standing and the surroundings of which are a heap of debris. The Cathedral is very dignified in all its shattered grandeur.
A dead body is wheeled by on an ambulance wheeler.
I send the Easter package (Box of Chocolates) home this morning.
Major Searight does not appear at all during the day. Our bombardment seems to increase daily. St. Nicholas simply bristles with big guns, of which there are a large number in Arras also.
