What reading level is Mansfield College Essays Presented to the Reverend Andrew Martin Fairbairn D book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

There are, of course, single sayings and doings of Jesus which might fall out of the Gospel record without endangering Christian faith ; but it is the whole Jesus the Christ, in word and deed, life, death, and rising again, as the Gospels represent Him, who is the object of Christian faith. If the historical Jesus is not a reality, then Christian faith loses not only some of its contents, but changes its whole character. With His religious consciousness, and moral character, and mediatorial fun...ction, as historically presented, are bound up His revelation of God to us, and our redemption to God in Him. The Christian reads the Gospels, and, in reading, realises more fully what the living Christ with Him is. The reality of what Jesus was is for him again and again confirmed by what His Saviour and Lord is to Him now. From this fact of Christian experience an important conclusion can be drawn. The criticism of the Gospels cannot ignore the certainty of Christian faith ; the un- believer is less qualified to study the Gospels than the saint.
