Although this Act is easy of access, it may be well to mention the most important features. "Eight Vestrymen were elected, the former Vestrymen being the judges of election. All Vestrymen and Church Wardens took the oath of fidelity to the Government, professed belief in the Christian religion, and subscribed to the oath of office.
