It is a condition, a way of being, a whole, offensive to Almighty God. And ©very separate sin is a separate defiance, or neglect, or, any how, disobedience to Him. Dead leaves fall, one by one, light almost as the air through which they fall. What a heavy, putrid mass they become, when they are thickened together, full of all uncleanness I In like way a man commits sin, and thinks so lightly of it, that he will not be able to tell, after a time, how many very deadly sins he has committed.
