Or yet again, if the two are co-ordinate aspects of one and the self- same thing, how are their apparently contradictory attributes of necessity and freedom to be reconciled ?
Is spirit less free, or matter freer, than we habitually think? And as this is a question in which both science and religion are concerned, it is obvious that here, that is in the philosophic field, they must necessarily meet.
