Immediately following upon this Fluellen and Gower appear upon t
...he scene, and the King, hearing Fluellen 's admonition to Gower to " speak lower " in the presence of the enemy, exclaims, in an ad- miring aside : Though it appear a little out of fashion, There is much care and valour in this Welshman.
If there is one virtue more than another that Fluellen possesses it is his intense loyalty to his King. His admiration for Henry is indeed so great that he does not hesitate to compare him with the most famous military leader in the history of the world. This ingenious comparison occurs in a conversation between Fluellen and Gower.
