Antiochus Epiphanes) like a woman who strives to increase her charms with choice scents, 2 and has sent embassies to heathen cities far off. 3 Are the Jerusalem people afraid of Antiochus Epiphanes, that they thus dissemble their religion and profess to be Greek ?
Again in chapter Ixv we have a vehement denunciation of idolatrous practices, most, if not all, of which are to be found on Greek soil.
