Will contribute to the ca- thartic eifefl : or, indeed, muft be the only caufe of it ; unlefs where the earth, meeting with a confiderable quantity of acid, in the inteftineS of thofe, who take it, may be converted into a neutral fait; which will, confequently, have this power* Spirit of fulphur by the bell.
