In Palestine's vast solitudes, erewhile So still, what clangorous noise! horrific!
Forest tempest wakes terrifically !
Sublimely rides the ruler of the storm.
Uptorn the cedars cedars tall which stood Like sentinels between time and eternity.
Th' Eternal's voice rends oak and sycamore Which vied for everlasting sovereignty.
Hurriedly springs from his hidden lair, The forest king.
