What reading level is The Story of a Quiet Country Parish Being Gleanings of the History of Worthenbu book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

For Castle Rising, at his house. New Bond Street, Against Conduit Street. " I have now got some news to send you, but it is of an ill kind. Mr. Puleston, of Emrall, being dead of a fever, was buried at Worthenbury on Thursday last, where I attended, and believe it to be the mournfullest funeral that ever I saw, he being mightily lamented by persons c^f all ranks. He was buried after the manner he lived, in great splendour and plenty. There were fixed at the gate twelve porters with black gowns,... who, when the corpse removed from the Hall, they with black staves walked before it ; after the hearse went four mourning coaches filled with mourners in cloaks, and likewise twelve men on horseback with cloaks.
ISO There was a very good appearance of gentlemen, and of all other sorts without number. It is com- puted that his funeral will cost above a ^looo.
As I come now to the building of the present church, resulting from Thomas Puleston's legacy, it seems fitting that I should write here all I can find out about the present and previous churches at Worthenbury.
