CHAPTER V.
Of the False Corses, or Whites.
From the womb proceed not only menstruous blood, but, accidentally, many other exi -ernents, which by the ancients are comprehended under the title of rebus gunakois ; which is a distillation of a variety of corrupt humour through the womb, flowing from the whole body, or a part of the same, keeping neither courses nor colour, but varying in both.
Cause. The cause is either promiscuously in the whole body, by a cocochymia, or weakness of the same, or in some of the parts, as in the liver, which, by the inability of the sanguificative faculty, causeth a generation of corrupt blood, and then the matter is reddish ; sometimes the gall being ARISTOTLE'S WORKS.
