The Grand Court, with lagoon, is the center, around which are arrayed the great buildings of the exposition. Entering from the south through the Arch of States, and standing upon one of the island bridges, the visitor sees at the west end of the Court the Government Building, surmounted by the noble American dome, topped by a massive statue of " Liberty Enlightening the World.
