Enloe was born 1811, in Haywood county, N. C, and is the ninth and only sur- viving son of Abraham Enloe. He resides on the same farm and in the same house in which his father lived when Nancy Hanks was ban- ished from the household. He is a quiet, suave, intelligent gentleman of the old school, and a prosperous farmer. He said : " I was born after the incident between father and Nancy Hanks.
