The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien series

The tremendous novel “The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien is the most known workin the world literature in the fantasy genre. Initially, the novel wascreated as a single book, but the publisher suggested dividing it into three parts: "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King". It is published as three books up to now, though often as one book.


"Lord of the Rings" – the most known English epic story of the XX century. It is translated into more that thirty world languages. This book had a huge impact on world literature, on board and computer games and on cinema in general.The novel "Lord of the Rings" actually is a continuation of a great story about little creatures "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again".


The first book consists of two parts and tells about Frodo and his very important and dangerous mission — to store the One Ring which has to be destroyed in a hearth of the Fire Mountain. The brave hobbit and his fearless playmates goes on a trip full of deadly danger…The Prologue tells about hobbits, their mode of life.The next part, The Two Towers (1954),includes two books, like the last one“The Return of the King", continuing the great journey of the main characters.
